The regular Dymo 2300 tape comes in a circular plastic magazine with tabs that hook onto the 2300 machine. Rotex tape comes in a spool inside a square cardboard box. Although the vinyl Rotex Tape is otherwise well suited to the 2300, the box it comes in lacks the shapes needed to hang onto the 2300 machine. This adaptor solves that problem. It fits onto and grips the Rotex box, and also fits the opening of the 2300 machine.
